Info:

The River Rhône rises in the Swiss Alps where its source is a glacier (The Rhône Glacier), some 2500 metres above sea level in the Swiss Alps. It is the start of its 800km journey to its mouth in the Mediterranean Sea. The bedrock in this region is predominantly granite which is an impermeable rock type.
